Are you who we are looking for?
1. You need to be self motivated, enjoy meeting people and to be able to oragnise your own diary.
2. You need to be resourceful.
3. You need to be confident about speaking on the phone and going out and meeting people!
3. You need to know what is going on for families in your area and have a good ‘nose’ for seeking out new and exciting clubs, classes and days out. (Never walk past a magazine or information point without looking for something that a family may enjoy!)

How much does it cost to become part of the skootkidz team?
£2,500 plus a monthly management fee of £340.00
What do you get for your money?
£2,500 buys you your own territory, we have kept things simple and each area is being sold as a complete post code area.
£340.00 monthly ongoing fee is to cover.
1. Website content, every two weeks we will put new home page website content on your site.
2. All advertisers’ content will be uploaded onto the website for you by our dedicated website manager.
3. The newsletters will be put together for you once you have sent in the content.
4.Part of the fee will cover the cost of sending out your newsletters, you, will give the newsletter a final proofing, and then using constant contact send out the newsletter, you will be able to see who opens your newsletters, and what links your readers are clicking on.
5.Skootkidz also uses salesforce.com to help you manage and record all sales contacts and accounts, part of your fee will cover the annual cost of using sales force.
6. A start up pack of business cards and leaflets.
(You will of course have some minimal extras running a business from your own home, heating, electricity, telephone and broadband bills to take into account.)
How much can I earn?
1. You can earn as much as you like! The more hours you can dedicate to growing your own business the more customers you will get. The more customers you have the more you will earn.
2. The more readers you can sign up to read your newsletters, the more response your advertisers will get, the more response your advertisers get the more likely they are going to become a loyal customer and use you again and again!
Each advert is sold for £240.00, for this your advertisers get their own dedicated web page on you website, plus eighteen entries in your newsletter over the year. This for your advertisers works out at £20.00 a month!
Sell 5 adverts a month income £1,200 (before expenses see below for example)
Sell 7 adverts a month £1,680 (before expenses)
Sell 10 adverts a month your income is £2,400 less skootkidz monthly management fee of £340.00, you could be earning an income of £2,060 month (which of course will be taxed!)
Sell 15 a month £3,600 (before expenses)
You will be self employed and we do recommend you have an independent accountant and you will need to set up a small business bank account)
What if you want to sell your skootkidz territory?
Skootkidz will help you get an independent valuation and help with the marketing until you sell your business. Skootkidz will take a 15% on the sale price once your business is sold.
How much time do I need to give skootkidz.
Being your own boss means you can decide how much time you can dedicate to growing and managing your own business.
The more time you have the more you will be able to grow your business.
You need time to.
1 Resource information. Clubs and classes, days out, party venues, entertainers are all possible advertisers for you. Searching the website, speaking to friends and other parents, and being out and about are valuable resources for looking for information. Remember each source of information is a possible advertiser, therefore a possible income generator!
2. Time to look for events to add to the popular events diary on your webpage.
3. Time to manage your data base, inputting information extracting it for the fortnightly newsletters.
4. Chasing up advertisers for new wording, sending out invoices, chasing up invoices that need paying!
5. Time to be on the phone, calling advertisers.
6. Time to go out and find families to sign up to receive the newsletters (just one way of finding readers! there are lots more!)
I would advise that you need a minimum of between three and five free hours a day to spend working on skootkidz, and the joy of working from home running your own business means some of that time can be used up once the kids are in bed !!)
